Artes said the DPWH checked the portion of the flyover with cracks and said a 30-meter stretch of the flyover needs to be repaired.
"Mano-mano ang pagbakbak ng semento. Hindi puwede ang heavy equipment," Artes said, explaining why the closure will last for 30 days. Artes however said the 30 days is the maximum time for the repair, and already includes a seven-day curing time for the cement.Motorists are advised to use the Mabuhay lanes as alternate routes, Artes added.
EDSA carousel buses will also have to use the service road, but after the flyover, they can use the leftmost lane again which is dedicated for their use, he said.—KG, GMA News
