A MAJORITY of Filipinos believe that the next president should focus on the economy and job creation, the first quarter survey of Publicus Asia revealed.

The country's economy was the respondents' top concern at 75.8 percent, followed by jobs at 55.8 percent.These were followed by education, corruption and poverty, as well as inflation, peace and order and crime, Covid-19 vaccine, wage and utilities.The top concerns of households were not being able to afford basic needs and difficulty in finding employment at 52.2 and 47 percent, respectively.

5 percent, 67.2 percent in Southern Luzon , and 60.8 percent in the National Capital Region .Meanwhile, 8.9 percent of respondents said that it could worsen by a little or a lot — highest in NCR at 12.5 percent, followed by 11.4 percent in the Visayas, 7.9 percent in SL, 7.8 percent in Mindanao, and 7 percent in NCL.The pollster said that more than 70 percent of respondents expected at least some improvement in their financial prospects.
