President Duterte does not think he will take former marine captain Nicanor Faeldon back in his government following the controversies he faced in two of the three posts he has handled for the past three years.Duterte made the statement days after he publicly sacked Faeldon as chief of the Bureau of Corrections for his disobedience about the release of convicts under the Good Conduct Time Allowance law.
“No, not. I don’t think so na . He has had enough of controversies in his, in the last few years. But I still believe that—I do not believe that he is dishonest,” he said. Earlier, Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo said that it was up to Duterte if he would give Faeldon yet another government position but said that if the President decides to do such, the public should trust the President.
“Sabi ko hindi ko kayo kukulungin . I’m just asking you to come back, have your sentence recomputed and if you fall within that category of those who will be released, you can go, you can go home,” he said.
