President Rodrigo Duterte has signed an executive order which authorizes financial grant to the members of the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit of the military.
EO No. 94 ordered financial support of P2,000 per month starting July 1 this year to qualified members of the CAFGU. In order to qualify for the grant, the order stated that CAFGU soldiers must be part of the roster by the Armed Forces of the Philippines and have been appointed “but are still undergoing training as of the aforementioned date.”
Through EO No. 264, the CAFGU unit was formed to complement and support the regular forces of AFP in combatting internal and external threats. Last year, President Duterte also signed an EO which grants CAFGU members P7,000 financial aid for the months of November and December.
