Duterte defended his longtime friend Quiboloy, founder and leader of religious group Kingdom of Jesus Christ The Name Above Every Name, on his alleged miraculous deed, saying the quake indeed stopped when the pastor ordered it.
“I believe in Pastor Quiboloy. When he said stop, eh kung nag-stop. What’s the trouble? Stop it. Eh kung nagkataon na nag-stop ,” he said at the opening of a new hotel in Davao City on Friday.Last month Quiboloy claimed that he halted the powerful quake that hit Mindanao and prevented the death of more people. He said the public should thank him because the quake could have caused more damage.
“Sinabi ko lindol, huminto ka! Huminto [I said earthquake, stop! It stopped],” he said on the October 30 episode of his television program “Give Us This Day.”Related Posts
