The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced on Friday that several road sections in Quezon City and Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) will undergo road repairs over the weekend.

The road reblocking will be conducted in four road sections in Metro Manila starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28 until 5 a.m. on Monday, March 2.

DPWH National Capital Region Director Ador Canlas said the road maintenance activities in EDSA would include the southbound lane from Guzent Inc. – Construction Equipment Sales & Rental to Bansalangin Street, 5th lane from sidewalk and from Approach B of P. Tuazon Flyover to Approach A of Boni Serrano Flyover, 3rd lane from MRT line; and northbound direction after Aurora Boulevard to New York Street, 3rd lane from sidewalk.

Canlas also identified the following affected roads at the southbound direction of A. Bonifacio Avenue from J. Manuel to Sergeant Rivera Street, 3rd lane from sidewalk; westbound direction of General Luis Street from SB Diversion Road to Samonte Street and Elliptical Road from corner Maharlika Street, 9th lane from outer sidewalk.

DPWH advised the motorists to take possible alternate routes due to the expected traffic slowdown in the affected areas.
