THE Department of Health is studying the possibility of giving free anti-Covid-19 shots once a year.In a radio interview on Monday, Health Undersecretary and National Vaccination Operations Center chairperson Myrna Cabotaje said there is a high chance that Covid vaccinations will be done annually just like flu shots.

However, the government will have to study if the annual inoculation will be for the general population or for the vulnerable sector only.Cabotaje added that vaccines will be given free unless these were issued a certificate of product registration . The Food and Drug Administration issues CPR for the purpose of marketing a product after evaluation of its safety, efficacy and quality.Presently, vaccines are free because these have been given Emergency Use authorization by the Philippine FDA.
