MORE and more people in the Philippines have managed to recover from coronavirus disease with the Department of Health reporting again Wednesday, January 19, 2022, over 36,000 recoveries along with 22,958 new cases.

The DOH said the new cases reported Wednesday, January 19, also brought the country's active cases to 270,728 . The positivity rate remained at 43.5 percent, based on the 62,531 samples that were tested last January 17.Six laboratories were not able to submit their output last January 17, and these laboratories contributed on average 1.5 percent of samples tested and 1.9 percent of positive results in the last 14 days, said the DOH.
