The Department of Energy has awarded 20-year power supply agreements to 19 RE developer firms that will deliver aggregate capacity of 2,000 megawatts to augment the country’s power supply under the Green Energy Auction Program .
For the Luzon grid, 11 companies were awarded with PSAs, comprising of two developers for hydro; five firms for solar; and four firms for wind farm installations. For wind developments, those awarded with PSAs are the: 70MW Caparispisan II wind project of Amihan Renewable Energy Corp.; 30MW Calatagan wind project of Solar Philippines Calatagan Corp.; 160MW Balaoi and Caunayan wind project of Bayog Wind Corporation of the Ayala group; and 100.8MW Kalayaan 2 wind project of CleanTech Global Renewables Inc.
