MAYNILA - Ramdam pa rin sa sangay ng hudikatura ang epekto ng deklarasyon ng batas militar ng diktador na si dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, ayon kay Atty. Chel Diokno.
Ito umano ang epekto ng pag-kontrol ni Marcos sa hudikatura noong panahon ng martial law. Ayon kay Diokno, sa unang linggo pa lang ng pagpapatupad ng batas militar, nagpalabas ng Letter of Instruction No.11 si Marcos na nag-uutos sa mga opisyal ng gobyerno kabilang ang mga hukom na magsumite ng resignation letter.
"In other words, hawak ni Marcos sa leeg ang lahat ng judge at lahat ng justice sa buong Pilipinas. Kung mayroon mang maglalabas ng isang desisyon na hindi niya magugustuhan, madali niyang tanggalin, isang pirma lang at wala na yung justice, o wala na yung judge na iyon sa ating judiciary," paliwanag ni Diokno.
Hindi pa umano nabubuwag hanggang ngayon ang mga network na binuo ng mga abogado kaya hirap na umunlad ang bansa.
