DFA: Latest tally counts only one Filipino COVID19 case overseas

MANILA - The Department of Foreign Affairs in its Saturday bulletin reported one new case of a Filipino overseas catching COVID-19. The total tally is at 8,804.In its latest bulletin, the agency reported no new coronavirus-related fatality. The death toll remained at 594.

To date, some 2,944 Filipino patients abroad are undergoing treatment for COVID-19, broken down as follows by region: 119 in the Asia-Pacific region, 484 in Europe, 2,221 in the Middle East and Africa and 120 in the Americas. In the Philippines, COVID-19 has so far sickened 54,222 people, with 1,372 fatalities and 14,037 recoveries. --With a report from Willard Cheng, ABS-CBN News
