The 2,600-ton ship, named after the country’s national hero Dr. Jose Rizal, is the latest addition in the Philippine Navy’s fleet that can fire guided missiles and torpedoes. The frigate arrived in the country last May after a five-day maiden trip for a shipyard in South Korea.
