MANILA — The Department of Education released on Sunday its guidelines for summer classes, and encouraged schools to implement distance learning while the country continues to deal with the COVID-19

pandemic.

Distance learning is a form of education where there is little or no face-to-face interaction between students and teachers. It uses printed materials or online platforms. Remedial classes are taken by students who received a grade lower than 75 in any subject. This is a requirement to be promoted to the next grade level.
