The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases spokesperson told Filipinos on Monday, Jan. 3 not to make the mistake of “forgetting” about the presence of the Delta variant of the coronavirus disease .

Guys, Delta is still around,” he underscored.The Delta variant–which has been described by health experts as more virulent and dangerous compared to the initial strain of COVID-19–was said to be responsible for the case surge in the country that began in August 2021.by the fourth quarter of 2021, to the point that the IATF even placed the entire country under the relatively lenient classification of alert level 2.
“Right now parang nag-iispeculate tayo na, ‘Nandito na ang Omicron, Omicron na siguro to, ang taas ng bilang . We have to remember that Delta is still around. So don’t forget,” Nograles said.
