Senator Ronald 'Bato' dela Rosa said protectors and coddlers of drug traffickers will also face death penalty under his proposed bill.

Senator Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa said protectors and coddlers of drug traffickers will also face death penalty under his proposed bill.In an interview with Karen Davila in ANC Headstart, dela Rosa said those who “conspire” to traffic drugs into the country should also receive the capital punishment, saying “the offense of one is the offense of all”.

Dela Rosa also expressed confidence that his version of the bill will “most likely prosper” in both Houses compared to versions of Senators Manny Pacquiao and Bong Go. Dela Rosa added that he wanted to push for the death penalty bill because he was told by convicted traffickers when he was still assigned at the Bureau of Corrections that it was the only way to solve the issue on drugs

“Kaya kami pabortio namin ang Pilipinas. Sa Singrapore, sa Indonesia, patay kami doon pag dun kami mag hakot, pero dito wala’,” dela Rosa quoted a Chinese inmate.
