ICYMI: “When we don’t speak against the rampant social injustices, including the proliferation of fake news [about the Marcoses, martial law and the like], we allow them to prosper.”

What teachers should avoid instead is being partisan, Borlaza pointed out.

But the Commission on Elections and the Civil Service Commission’s Joint Circular No. 1, series of 2016, noted that “expressing one’s views on current political problems or issues” cannot be deemed as a partisan political activity. Borlaza said expressing one’s personal political views, which could help in widening the understanding of the learners who are also their social media friends, was constitutional.

Well teachers should be the one to teach students about martial law...unfortunately a number of them are marcos apologists.....sad.....

Sa Germany, ang pagtuturo tungkol sa Holocaust and Nazis is a must... NeverForget

Ito ba ang apolitical?

The usual outcry of militant teachers heavily influenced by leftist idealism.

Critical thinking can't be apolitical? Then that means it should be banned since it violates the Code of Ethics of Teachers.

Solon slams DepEd: 'Teachers have every right to express political opinion'House of Representatives Asst. Minority Leader and ACT Teachers partylist Rep. France Castro blasted the DepEd for enjoining teachers to remain apolitical and keep their political opinions to themselves. ACT teachers? Aren't they identified by NTF-ELCAC as legal fronts for CPP-NPA-NDF? I think anyone can express political opinion, but for teachers, its better if they don't do it in front of their students. Maybe among coleagues yes. Para same level.
