House of Representatives Asst. Minority Leader and ACT Teachers partylist Rep. France Castro blasted the Department of Education for enjoining teachers to remain apolitical and keep their political opinions to themselves.
“Teachers mold human beings capable of critical thinking and determining what is right and what is wrong. Teachers should be able to teach their students the importance of staying updated with what is happening in the country, relating with others and doing something to be catalysts for change. By saying that teachers should remain apolitical is like saying they should be robots who in turn mold robots that do not care about what is happening in our society,” Castro said.
ACT Teachers is a political front of the CPP NDF NPA, an illegal terror organization and enemy of the state, whose ultimate objective is to overthrow the government through armed rebellion. NO TO CPP NDF NPA NO TO ATHEISM NO TO COMMUNISM NO TO TERRORISM
ACT teachers? Aren't they identified by NTF-ELCAC as legal fronts for CPP-NPA-NDF? I think anyone can express political opinion, but for teachers, its better if they don't do it in front of their students. Maybe among coleagues yes. Para same level.
