Covid-19 positivity rates in almost all provinces in Luzon have gone down, independent monitoring group OCTA Research reported on Monday.OCTA Research fellow Guido David said only the province of Rizal registered a slight increase — from 14.8 percent on August 20 to 15 percent on August 27.Albay recorded the highest decrease — from 31 percent to 21.2 percent.

However, despite the downtrend, the province remained at very high risk for Covid-19.Other provinces that registered decreases in positivity rates but remained at very high risk were Cagayan , Camarines Sur , Isabela , La Union , Nueva Ecija and Tarlac .The positivity rate in Bataan went down to less than 10 percent, making the province at low risk.Positivity rate refers to the percentage of people who were found positive for Covid-19 among the total number of individuals tested.
