COVID-19 positivity rate still ‘very high’ in 7 Luzon areas; NCR’s down 12.9% – OCTA

Seven areas in Luzon remain to have above 20% or “very high” COVID-19 positivity rate in the recent week, while that of the National Capital Region decreased to 12.9%, independent monitoring group OCTA Research said Monday.

OCTA Research fellow Dr. Guido David said the one-week positivity rates in Albay, Cagayan, Camarines Sur, Isabela, La Union, Nueva Ecija, and Tarlac all declined but were still more than 20%, as of August 27, Saturday. NCR positivity rate decreased from 14.6% to 12.9% . Nearly all provinces in Luzon had a decrease in positivity rate. Bataan decreased to less than 10%. PR decreased but remained very high in Albay, Cagayan, Camarines Sur, Isabela, La Union, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac.
