Workers of China Road and Bridge Corporation conduct soil sampling and geotechnical survey along the Pakiputan Strait for the Samal Island - Davao City Connector Project on Friday. The project is expected to be operational in 2027. Edge Davao

In an interview, Yuan Xiao Cong, project manager of CRBC, said currently they are doing the soil sampling and geotechnical survey for the project. The bridge has a width of 24 meters and a vertical navigation clearance of up to 47 meters. Envisioned as a 3.98-kilometer, 4-lane bridge that will link Samal Island to Davao City, SIDC will cross over Pakiputan Strait, supported by two pylons with a height of 73 meters.
