Major Alfonso Saligumba III, Cainta police chief, told Manila Bulletin that police personnel have been deployed to the residence of the family of Maribel Bacsal, the 42-year-old caregiver whose body was found stuffed in a container in Brookside Hills Subdivision, Cainta, Rizal on July 3.
The chief of police said authorities here will seek the assistance of the Interpol or the Taiwanese government to locate the suspect as soon as criminal charges are filed against him. Bacsal’s body was found inside a plastic container covered with another container after neighbors noticed a foul odor coming from the elderly couple’s compound in the afternoon of July 3.The suspect’s mother, said to be in her 80’s, was also tagged by police as an accessory to the crime as she had concealed information about the crime and the whereabouts of his son, according to Maj. Saligumba III.
