– The Bangsamoro Transition Authority Parliament is seeking the creation of a regional office of the Professional Regulation Commission to provide convenience in transactions to registered professionals in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao .
Last March 25, the BTA Parliament adopted Proposed Resolution No. 46 urging the PRC to create a regional office within the BARMM. In a statement from the Bangsamoro Information Office on Monday, March 29, the Bangsamoro government said the resolution “was a product of consolidated committee reports from the BTA’s Committees on Rules and Labor and Employment regarding the initially two proposed resolutions No. 339 and 415, authored by Parliament Members Haron Abas and Safrullah Dipatuan, which both seek the establishment of a PRC office in the region.
“The resolution stated that the establishment of a PRC regional office within BARMM will help in the enhancement and maintenance of professional and occupational standard and ethics of the Bangsamoro professionals,” it said. It added that the location of the proposed regional office will still be subject to the negotiations between “the BARMM’s Ministry of Labor and Employment and the National Department of Labor and Employment , through the Intergovernmental Relations Body .”
