ILOILO CITY — The proposed wage hike for workers in Western Visayas region has been endorsed by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB-6) under the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-6).

— The proposed wage hike for workers in Western Visayas region has been endorsed by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board under the Department of Labor and Employment .This after the RTWPB-6 approved Tuesday Wage Order No. 25 that sets the new wage rate for workers in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental.

Ticao told Manila Bulletin Wednesday that RTWPB-6 will submit the endorsement for the new salary rates to the National Wages Productivity Commission for approval.The non-agriculture and commercial sector with more than 10 workers will have to pay P395 per day from the current rate of P365 while P310 from P295 with 10 workers or less.
