In a Facebook post, Turabin-Hataman said city police traffic unit elements apprehended her mother and their family driver on a no-parking street zone last Friday, but she only learned about the incident on Sunday because she was busy attending to a patient-relative in hospital.
The lady mayor said her mother, who she acknowledged as a licensed nurse and a recipient of awards from the Civil Service Commission , advised the driver not to identify her during the confrontation in the street. Surprised and apologetic, the policemen asked why the mother did not identify herself during the street encounter so they could have easily spared her and the driver.
