Alert Level 1 maintained in most parts of Philippines

AMID discussions on the possible resurgence of coronavirus disease after the May 9, 2022 elections, the Inter-Agency Task Force has maintained the Alert Level 1, the lowest quarantine classification so far in the country, in most of the regions, including Metro Manila.

* Region 3 : Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Angeles City, and Olongapo City* Region 4-B : Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, and Puerto Princesa City* Region 6 : Aklan, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo Province, Bacolod City, and Iloilo City* Region 8 : Biliran, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, Ormoc City, and Tacloban City* Region 10 : Camiguin, Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro City, and Iligan CityAlso under the same alert level are these component cities...

“Alert Level classifications of component cities and municipalities under IATF Resolution 166-A not otherwise affected by this Resolution shall remain in effect until May 15, 2022,” acting presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar said. The Department of Health warned over the possible resurgence of Covid-19 cases, which can be triggered by the non-compliance to minimum health protocols and the entry of new Covid-19 sub-variants, especially of the highly-transmissible Omicron variant.
