Accenture, a leading partner to the world’s major cloud providers, has announced the formation of Accenture Cloud First with a $3-billion investment over three years. The megafund would help clients across all industries rapidly become Cloud First businesses and accelerate their digital transformation.

Accenture Cloud First also combines world-class learning and talent development expertise; deep experience in cloud change management; and cloud-ready operating models, with security, data privacy, responsible use of artificial intelligence, sustainability and ethics, and compliance built into the fundamental changes that Accenture helps companies achieve.Cloud is the most disruptive and value-creating technology today.

Public cloud services is one bright spot in the outlook for IT spending in 2020. Cloud spending in many regions is expected to grow rapidly as economies reopen and more normal economic activity resumes, with regions such as North America expecting to return to higher spending levels as early as 2022.

Desktop as a service is also expected to have significant growth in 2020, increasing 95.4 percent to $1.2 billion. DaaS offers an inexpensive option for enterprises that support the surge of remote workers who need to securely access enterprise applications from multiple devices and locations.
