Manny Pacquiao is mulling a possible fight with Irish mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor as he plots his return to the ring, representatives for the Filipino boxing icon told AFP on Friday, September 25 .
Pacquiao, 41, has not fought since claiming the WBA welterweight crown with a stunning victory over Keith Thurman in Las Vegas in July last year. Pacquiao has successfully combined a political career in the Philippines, where he is an elected senator, while continuing to box at the highest level. "The idea has been brought up on a few occasions for Senator Pacquiao and Conor McGregor to fight," Gibbons said, adding that McGregor had shown in his fight with Mayweather he was capable of challenging"the best boxers in the world."

It seems to be bad politics/policy for the senator to be engaged in activity in contradiction to the lockdown rules so he can make millions while tricycle drivers,Jeepney drivers,& others are starving/struggling to survive. You can’t train/box wearing facemasks/social distancing
I’d think the Philippines would have to be out of lockdown & quarantine before he’d be permitted to train & get into the ring with others without a face mask &practicing social distancing. The senator wouldn’t want the public to have a bad image of him.
Manny Pacquiao‘s legacy doesn’t hinge solely in his being the first and only 8-division world boxing champion but also in his being graciously charitable to his fellowmen.

Why not fight’’ Terrence Crawford ‘’who is considered one of the best boxer in welterweght division. UFC champion whoever they are cannot be considered a real boxer. Don’t fight the guy whom do you think is not fit for you whether he is famous or not. Please chose accordingly!!
