MANILA, Philippines — A total of 9,269 recoveries recorded on Sunday brought down the country’s active COVID-19 case count to 21,980, data from the Department of Health showed.

According to DOH’s COVID-19 bulletin, there are 1,085 new cases recorded, bringing the total overall cases to 449,400. The number of active cases account for 4.9 percent of the total number.However, three more deaths bring the death toll to 8,733, or 1.94 percent of the total count.
