6 new COVID-19 cases reported in Soccsksargen

– The Department of Health – Region 12 has reported six new coronavirus disease cases, and six new recoveries across the region on Thursday night.Current cumulative figures also indicated six new recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 288 for an equivalent recovery rate of 76 percent.

“The trend remains on an upswing as we had 68 recoveries the past several days,” Arjohn Gangoso of the DOH- Soccsksargen said. Of the new confirmed cases, three were from North Cotabato, two from South Cotabato, and one from General Santos City. On the other hand, the recoveries were four from General Santos City, and one each from the provinces of South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat.

Across the region, South Cotabato still topped the list as having the most number of cumulative confirmed cases with 96, followed by Sarangani with 72, Sultan Kudarat , North Cotabato , General Santos City , and Cotabato City . As for active cases, South Cotabato and General Santos City have 22 each, Sarangani , North Cotabato , and Sultan Kudarat and Cotabato City with eight each.
