In Bacolod, a tricycle driver identified as Minandro Delejero died while his three passengers – Rose Mae Dequilla, Berjenia Delejero, and Ceily Mae Javelosa, all residents of Batangay Estefania here – were injured after their tricycle collided with a rented sports utility vehicle on Burgos extension Monday.The SUV driver, who was later identified as Eli Ong, 47, of Barangay Tangub here, abandoned the vehicle at the accident scene but surrendered to the police that night.
In Bago City, Andrelo Estares, 52, of San Enrique town, died the same day after he was hit by a motorcycle. Major John Joel Batusbatusan, Bago police chief, said an SUV driven by Gie Espartero, 31, of hit Estares who suddenly crossed the street.In Talisay City, Joselito Barrios of Escalante City; and Jovanie Dablo of Sagay City were killed after the motorcycle they were riding fell from a bridge while trying to pass a passenger jeepney Monday.Vicente Pajarito, 27, of Talisay, died after he was allegedly hit by a motorcycle driven by Rexan Casalda, 29, of Cadiz City, in Talisay last Sunday.
Police said Casalda was behind Pajarito who was riding a bicycle when the motorcycle bumped Pajarito.
