CDNTopStories: Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar said the target for the groundbreaking of the 4th Cebu-Mactan bridge would be before the end of President Rodrigo Duterte’s term. CDNDigital

DPWH Secretary Mark Villar during his inspection of the Cebu-Cordova bridge today, July 16, says that they plan to have the groundbreaking of the 4th Cebu-Mactan bridge before President Rodrigo Duterte’s term will end. | Delta Dyrecka Letigio

Villar was in Cebu on July 16, 2021 to check on the infrastructure projects in the province including the studies for the Fourth Bridge being proposed to connect the Mandaue City Coastal Road to the Lapu-Lapu City’s Airport Road. The studies conducted for the Fourth Bridge needs to be completed before the agency can jumpstart the project. The initial estimated cost of the project is at P76 billion funded by a JICA loan.

For now, the DPWH is facing challenges in the feasibility studies because the Lapu-lapu City government recently objected to the proposed landing at the Airport Road, preferring the bridge to land at the Mactan Circumferential Road .

COA: Cebu City failed to follow procurement process in CCQC constructionCEBU CITY, Philippines -- The Commission on Audit revealed that Cebu City failed to follow the procurement process in the construction of the Cebu City Quarantine Center (CCQC), casting This is not surprising! Cebu City LGU is a DDS and like their idol they also don't follow SOP and they don't obey the laws. Another reason why the laws is to be ammended. What is the point if COA will raise flags after they spent the money. Even after the Young honest Pasig mayor was awarded for saving billions in the 'Procurement Process'. Nobody is punished immediately. Case will go on & later free Another reason why never vote for the OLD POLITICIANS EVER AGAIN. Even during the pandemic, they want to steal from the people. It is like comitting murder. Shameful. If the voters decide to vote for the same Old People, do not blame the Politicians. Blame the stupid voters.
