Forty Filipinos were able to flee to safer grounds after crossing the Rafah border from war-torn Gaza to Egypt, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said.

More foreign nationals were able to flee to safer grounds including 40 Filipinos after crossing the Rafah border from war-torn Gaza to Egypt, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said.

The president said he hopes the remaining Filipinos in Gaza would soon be able to cross the border with their families. There were also 15 wounded Palestinians who crossed the border for treatment. In total, there are already 116 severely injured Palestinians transferred to Egypt.
