Three more police personnel contracted COVID-19, bringing the total number to 13, the Philippine National Police confirmed Thursday.There are now 182 persons under investigation , and 1,545 persons under monitoring within the PNP ranks.Worldwide, the coronavirus has killed more than 47,000 people, mostly in Italy, although the outbreak began in Wuhan, China in December 2019. Over 900,000 people have been infected, according to the Johns Hopkins University's COVID-19 global tracker.

To contain the spread of the virus, authorities are urging people to practice regular hand washing, cover their mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, and avoid close contact with those who exhibit virus symptoms.
