Only 45.82 million SIM cards or 27.12 percent out of the 170 million SIM cards in the country have been registered so far, less than a month before the April 26 deadline, the Department of Information and Communications Technology said. /PDI

Undersecretary Anna Mae Lamentillo, spokesperson for the DICT, said during the Laging Handa briefing that Smart Communications had recorded 23.43 million registrants.

well, I think there was sufficient time allowed for the registration. Should put out an announcement now in all forms of media na by the end of the registration period lahat ng di registered ay automatic na deactivated.
