24,938 new Covid-19 cases in Philippines; positivity rate at 40.6%

THE Department of Health reported on Monday, January 24, 24,938 new cases of coronavirus disease that further pushed the country's total caseload to 3,442,056.

Regions with the highest number of additional cases are Metro Manila, with 3,610 infections , Calabarzon with 3,382 , and Central Visayas with 2,562 .The new cases reported Monday, January 24, also pushed the country's active Covid-19 cases to 262,938 , of which 98.2 percent are mild and asymptomatic.
