CEBU City had logged 573 fresh cases as of Sunday, January 23, 2022, bringing the active cases to 7,370 in 77 barangays.

Cebu City recorded Friday, January 21 a 56.62 DPR, the highest since the pandemic hit the city in March 2020.Despite the decrease in DPR on Saturday and Sunday, EOC deputy chief implementer City Councilor Joel Garganera could not paint a rosy picture.
