ONE more fatality was recorded and over 100 others were injured in the earthquake that struck Masbate, authorities said on Wednesday.
The first fatality, identified as Gilbert Sauro, a retired police colonel, died when his three-storey house in Cataingan collapsed. Authorities are still trying to determine whether there were other people inside Sauro’s home. “There were major structures that incurred damage, including the port of Cataingan, school buildings, roads and bridges, district hospitals, and even our public market,” he added.
