THE Bureau of Fire Protection -Bacolod rescues residents affected by flooding due to heavy rains in Florenceville, Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City early Monday morning, August 28.
The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said as of Monday morning, August 28, there were 293 evacuees in Barangay Pahanocoy, 1,278 in Barangay Sum-ag, 725 in Barangay Singcang-Airport, 54 in Barangay Punta Taytay, 97 in Barangay Handumanan, and 17 in Barangay Felisa. Policemen, rescuers, and personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection -Bacolod led the rescue operations in various barangays here until Monday.
A pickup truck that avoided the flood water overturned when it hit a gutter on the new economic road, Fatima 2, Barangay Sum-ag early Monday, according to a report from BFP-Bacolod.The BFP responded to a fire which damaged a house in Barangay Alijis here at around 5:30 a.m. on Monday.The Bacolod City police activated its search and rescue operations to render assistance to Bacolodnons affected by heavy rains.
