The National Capital Region recorded the highest number of new infections in the past two weeks with 5,945 cases, followed by Calabarzon with 2,498; Central Luzon with 1,222; Cagayan Valley with 716; and Western Visayas with 706. The recovery tally increased to 3,972,100 with 1,846 new recoveries, while the death toll rose to 65,034.A total of 10,655 individuals were tested on Friday, and 333 testing laboratories submitted data. —
