The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday logged 1,306 new COVID-19 infections, pushing the active tally to 18,910. The active cases reported on Thursday were 18,365.

The new cases pushed the nationwide tally to 4,054,159.It was followed by Calabarzon with 2,457, Central Luzon with 1,189, Western Visayas with 713, and Cagayan Valley with 710.Meanwhile, the death toll rose to 64,995 with 27 new fatalities.

At least 11,324 individuals were tested, while 334 testing laboratories submitted data as of Thursday, December 15. The bed occupancy in the country stood at 23.5% with at least 6,497 beds occupied and 21,189 vacant as of Wednesday, December 14.
