The two lawmakers were suspended on allegation of involvement in unholy and unethical conduct but the committee has exonerated them of any wrongdoing.Immediately after the presentation of the report before the House by the chairman House Committee on ethics and privileges, Hon. Kabiru Hashimu Dansadau and subsequent deliberations, the House unanimously agreed to recall their colleagues since they have been exonerated.
Speaker, Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya in his remarks, saluted the courage of the committee for painstakingly arriving at that conclusion. He ordered the recall of the two suspended House members with effect from the next legislative year, beginning from January 15, 2022. The House also considered and adopted all the recommendations contained in the report of the public Accounts Committee on the 2020 State Auditor General’s Report presented by the Deputy Speaker, Hon Musa Bawa Musa Yankuzo.
