The Finance and Appropriation committee of Zamfara State House of Assembly has declared zero allocation for the State School of Nursing and College of

Health Science Tsafe pending clarification on the non-remittance of their Internally Generated Revenue, IGR.

This was disclosed by the chairman of the committee, Hon. Shamsu Basko Mafara during the budget defense for the Ministry of Health. He said that it would not be fair for the state government to be disbursing funds to the two institutions while they are not remitting anything to the state government coffers from the IGR they are generating.

According to him, the committee would fix a time for the officials of the two institutions to come and clarify how they have been utilizing their IGR before money is released to them in the 2022 budget. DAILY POST gathered that the state ministry of Health has inaugurated a committee that would investigate the two medical institutions over non-remittance of their Internally Generated Revenue .
