The Provost, Federal College Of Education Akoka Lagos, Dr Wahab Azeez, has advised the 2020/2021 Distance Learning Programme students to work diligently so as to be able to contribute to nation building.

Azeez who said this during the matriculation told the students to uphold discipline, loyalty and honest character at all times during their stay in the college. “I appeal to you to reciprocate the good gesture of the college by working diligently in order to contribute your quota to the development of our country. “This is an academic environment with its unique norms and values; you are expected to familiarise yourselves with them. Energy wasted in pursuit of unlawful gains or destructive union activities is tantamount to misplaced priorities and contribute to lowering of standards of Education.

He also implored them to enroll for the degree programme after the successful completion of their NCE programme. “Be assured that you will derive maximum benefits from various courses offered in the college, if you pursue your academic studies with necessary vigour and commitment. The citadel of knowledge expects you to serve as shinning models of exemplary behaviour and dedication to academic excellence. Other technical skills you would be exposed to as distance learners are, online research, word processing, video conferencing, slide presentations and others.
