Wike should accept Umahi's challenge to debate, says aide

Umahi, while addressing State House correspondents in Abuja, on Thursday, had called for a debate with Wike following the Rivers State Governor’s reaction to a court ruling sacking him as Ebonyi State Governor.

“Look at a governor making a reckless statement simply because a judge made a judgement according to his own opinion, which you are entitled to appeal up to Supreme Court. “You carry the votes of another party and join another party. Can you transfer votes? You work hard for somebody to win election and tomorrow, the person says ‘I have defected’.

The Rivers State Governor then went ahead to say he played a role in the sacking of Umahi and his deputy from office.

Wike won't accept the challenge, is not to be ratting simply because ur governor. I urge Gov. Wike to accept the challenge let Gov. Dave. Get rip off him. 😂

A debate between two governors that is not about governance or approaches to public policy? How will this juvenile venture benefit the people of the two states. If they were both accountable to their people they would know that their time was better spent

Wike is still a governor while Umahi is no longer a governor so on what ground will they debate?. Birds of the same feather flock together. Umahi is nobody.
