, is set to gather some of the top entertainers in Nigeria for the second edition of his Foundation Concert, which holds today. At the event, some eminent Nigerians, such as the late Dr Ameyo Adadevoh ; and the late footballer, Rashidi Yekini.
Speaking on plans for the concert, Ruggedman said, “I started this in 2019. It is about celebrating entertainers who laid the foundation for Nigerian contemporary music from my time. I am talking about people like Plantashun Boiz, Baba Fryo, Daddy Showkey, Styl-Plus and Durella. “If you know me, you would know I love to give honour to who it is due. And, it’s not only about musicians. In 2019, I celebrated Pa Akinkunmi, the man who designed the national flag; Pa Odiase, who composed the national anthem; and the lady who composed the national pledge.
“This year, aside from bringing the likes of Sunny Neji, Faze, Durella and Terry G that would be performing, we would also be honouring people like Dr Adadevoh, who gave her life to stop the spread of Ebola in Nigeria; and a great footballer, Rashidi Yekini.”All rights reserved.
