But Araujo was shown a red card in the 29th minute after he brought down Bradley Barcola just outside the box as the last defender.

Araujo's dismissal turned the match on its head as PSG used the one-man advantage to full effect with the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha and Kylian Mbappe all registering their names on the score sheet. PSG advanced to the semi-final on a 6-4 aggregate win. In a post via his Instagram account on Wednesday, Araujo said: 'Football that gave me so much joy, is now hitting me hard.
