President Bola Tinubu has given approval for the commencement of the design of the 1000-kilometer Sokoto-Badagry Coastal Highway.

He expressed gratitude for the directive from President Tinubu, stating, “I am happy that Mr. President has also directed me to start the immediate design of the Sokoto-Badagry Coastal Highway.” Umahi also mentioned another proposed spur road, spanning from Enugu-Abakaliki-Ogoja to Cameroon, covering approximately 361 kilometres.
