Southern and Middle Belt Leaders’ Forum , comprising Afenifere, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Middle Belt Forum and Pan Niger Delta Forum , has lashed out at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State for rubbishing the zoning arrangement of the Peoples Democratic Party for their selfish interests.

“Atiku’s comments, while reportedly addressing some PDP leaders, are symptomatic of desperation and somewhat arrogance. His supposition that the APC has a moral obligation to zone the presidency but that the PDP does not, is self-serving and illogical.
This is what is killing democracy in Nigeria, zoning? If you don't want him then use the power of the people to vote against him or campaign for someone you want!!
This is quite simple for anyone to see if Obasanjo had encouraged a Southerner to contest after his 2 term, I promise everyone that the North would have gone on a free killing spree of christians in the region. As a matter of fact Atiku spearheaded the blockage of his 3 term bid.
