Reposition NYSC, don’t scrap it, HURIWA urges Buhari | The Guardian Nigeria News - Nigeria and World News Nigeria NYSC

As controversy over the relevance or otherwise of National Youth Service Corps continues, Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria has warned that scrapping the scheme may increase crime rate and unemployment in the land.

National Coordinator of HURIWA, Emmanuel Onwubiko, while urging President Muhammadu Buhari, to preserve national legacies that NYSC represents, said with over 100,000 graduates, the scheme helps to temporarily absorb them to give youths some respite.

“After a well-considered research and opinion poll conducted by HURIWA, the consensus was that President Muhammadu Buhari should preserve the legacies NYSC represents.

We need Quality basic education for all Nigerian child. Not Almajiri system..&SCRAP JAMB Too..we don't need a controlled university admission. It has to be Quality and competitive otherwise we would have some who can't speak English, graduates who can write G.R.A.D.U.A.T.E
