Residents of Ozalla Community in the Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State on Wednesday stormed the state capital in protest against the killing of their son and governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Dons Udeh, penultimate Saturday.

“The gap Udeh’s death has left in our community, will be too huge to fill by anyone else,” he said.

“Apart from Igwe Donald Nwochi, there are some other such incidents like that and we are worried as a community.“I want to thank the people of Ozalla who had thronged out here. It is Dons today, who knows whose turn it could be tomorrow?”Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi announced the cash reward for any person or group that provides information to the Nigeria Police that would lead to the arrest of those involved in the killing.

He made the announcement when a delegation of the people of Ozalla, led by the President-General of Ozalla Development Union, Nwagbara, visited him at the Government House, Enugu, on Wednesday, to demand justice and appeal to the governor for further intervention in the matter. The governor, who spoke in Igbo language, described Udeh’s death as painful and a great loss, not only to his family and community, but also to the entire state.
